We will work to protect the environment by:

- reducing our waste production and disposing of waste in a responsible manner. Where possible we will recycle materials including:
- paper
- electrical items
- printer cartridges
- plastic and other general items
- maximising the use of reused, reusable, recycled and recyclable materials.
- sourcing local goods and materials where possible.
- using technology to reduce waste
- organising our business to avoid travel wherever possible, for example, using telephone or video conferencing
- encouraging modes of transport that minimise environmental impact (we also have a car user policy)
- providing training or guidance to staff, volunteers and people who use our services to ensure compliance with this policy and to contribute to the development of an environmentally-aware culture
- continue to look at ways to reduce our environmental impact as an organisation and support our staff and service users to implement any new ideas for this.
