I have worked in the voluntary sector for over 20 years, with 13 of those years spent in mental health services and 11 years spent working for Mind.
While at Mind, I worked in the directorate that supported the incredible work of the network of local Minds across the country. I saw first hand the impact organisations like West Sussex Mind have, led by the needs of their communities. When I left Mind, I was keen to get involved with my local Mind and I am delighted to have an opportunity to play my part in a small way to ensure that the people of West Sussex get the mental health support and respect they deserve.
I am passionate about person-centred, community-based support, shaped by people's lived experience, and delivered alongside and with people.
