Morrisons Foundation gift for refurbishment of our Littlehampton support hub

The Morrisons Foundation has very kindly given us a grant of £7,413 towards the refurbishment of our Littlehampton support hub, which is due to reopen its doors in May.

The grant will go towards new furniture for our Littlehampton site, which was a former care home with rather worn decor, and has been transformed into a modern facility with building works that began in November 2021. The new site has four separate rooms for individual sessions, a multi-functional main space, new kitchen, conservatory and three brand-new toilets, including a disabled toilet, and will be more conducive to way we support people in the area with their mental health.

"The new furniture that we are now able to buy with this grant will make such a difference to the people who have support with us,” says Maxine Thomas, area manager. “It will allow this once dated and unusable space to become a welcoming, accessible and vibrant environment allowing those being supported to feel valued and to have an improved sense of well-being.”

The Morrisons Foundation supports charities that make a positive difference to local communities across England, Scotland and Wales and its grants support community projects that help to improve people’s lives.

Thank you so much Morrisons for helping us to give a more modern and comfortable experience to people who visit our Littlehampton hub for support. We are delighted to be able to provide new furnishings.
