It's Mental Health Awareness Week from 15 to 21 May and this year's theme is anxiety.
At West Sussex Mind, we'll be out in the community raising awareness about our services, running specialist workshops around anxiety for people getting support with us – and raising awareness and battling stigma around mental health.
We're also using Mental Health Awareness Week as an opportunity to raise funds for our work supporting people with their mental health. We've been asking schools, colleges, businesses and individuals to Wear It Blue for us – to wear blue clothes and accessories and donate during MHAW to raise awareness and we're over the moon that you have answered our call!
You can join in or simply donate to Wear it Blue here: Wear It Blue donation to West Sussex Mind (enthuse.com) - thank you.
From a whole week of wear it blue-themed events planned at World of Books and a dress-up day at estate agents Jacobs Steel, to blue non-uniform and mufti days at local schools and colleges, and a special wear it blue day at Worthing Park Run (Sat 20 May), we've been blown away by the response! We thank you all for getting involved and wish you good luck with your events.
Here's to an informative and fun week!
