We are looking for more recruits to join our friendly communications co-production panel!
The panel is a creative space for volunteers to collaborate and put forward ideas to improve – and bring innovation to – West Sussex Mind’s communications work, covering social media messaging, website content and printed communications.
The work of the panel improves the accessibility and inclusivity of our charity's communications by bringing people’s perspectives from their lived experience to co-produce, shape and inform communications projects.
Our meetings are currently held online, every four to six weeks, and last approximately one to one-and-a-half hours.
There is no need for prior experience in communications, as we work thoroughly through each project together and we encourage all perspectives and opinions.
Some examples of work we have done over the past year includes:
- Reviewing the accessibility and relevance of social media posts
- Producing Facebook messaging and generating content ideas
- Design improvements to social activities newsletters
- Encouraging inclusion and engagement within private Facebook groups
- Poster and flier reviews.
All our members have lived experience of mental health conditions – whether that's themselves personally or experience while caring for others. And everyone lives in West Sussex.
The group is a mix of both current/previous West Sussex Mind service users, and people who have never used West Sussex Mind services. Everyone is welcome.
