People & Governance Administrator (Maternity Cover)

Are you an experienced administrator looking for a new, development opportunity in HR?

Hours: Full time – 37.5 hours per week

Salary: £24,570 per annum

Contract: Maternity Cover – fixed term contract for 10 months

Location: Based at The Gateway, 8 – 10 Durrington Lane, Worthing, West Sussex, BN13 2QG – with some flexibility to work from home.

Overview:

We are looking for a People & Governance Administrator to join us on a fixed term basis as cover for maternity leave. In this highly varied role, you will play a pivotal part in supporting our People function in key processes spanning the whole employee life cycle from prospective employees to leavers. In this role you will also support the work of our Board of Trustees and related committees.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting recruitment processes including advertising roles on job boards, coordinating interviews and onboarding new staff, including processing Right to Work checks.
  • Creating letters based on templates relating to recruitment, selection and appointment.
  • Monitoring HR inboxes and responding to basic enquiries, escalating where required to the relevant person.
  • Managing HR records.
  • Supporting with HR projects such as organising employee events.

The successful candidate will:

  • Have experience of working in administration or a similar role.
  • Be confident in a busy and varied role, often working with changing priorities.
  • Be well organised, proactive and able to handle sensitive information with discretion.
